Ein Bericht über Datenschutz und wieso er wichtig ist. Hier im deutschsprachigen Raum wird oft über den Datenschutz geschimpft. Dieser Datenschutz sei zu streng.
Ich war auf der Suche nach einer App, mit der man erkennen kann, aus welcher Region ein Fahrzeug kommt. In der Schweiz sind die Fahrzeuge den Kantonen zugeordnet. In Deutschland sind es die Landkreise die, den Anfang des Kennzeichen ausmachen. In Österreich sind am Anfang die Bezirke. Und für die EU-Länder gibt es viele Apps für das Handy, um zu sehen, woher ein Fahrzeug kommt.
Nachdem jetzt viele Fahrzeuge aus der Ukraine unterwegs sind, wollte ich wissen aus welchem Kanton, Landkreis, bzw. Bezirk unterwegs sind. In der Ukraine ist das dann ein Oblast.
Im Google Play Store habe ich dann die App „Car Plates – Ukraine“ gefunden.

Was mich dann so schockiert hat, ist die Tatsache, dass es bei den Daten, die diese App anzeigt, keinen Datenschutz gibt.
Diese App hat Zugriff auf alle Zulassungsdaten der ganzen Ukraine.
Und seit kurzer Zeit gibt es auch Zugriff auf die Daten Tschechien, Kroatien, Polen und Slowenien. Allerdings in Eingeschränkter Form.
Wann wurde das Fahrzeug zugelassen. Wie hoch ist der aktuelle Wert in USD. Welcher Motor ist verbaut und auch die persönliche VIN Nummer. Diese VIN wird nicht komplett angezeigt.
Und bei manchen Fahrzeugen auch ein Foto des Fahrzeuges im Strassenverkehr von platesmania.com. Und viele weitere Daten vom Fahrzeug.
Ich empfehle diese App zu installieren und allen Leuten zu zeigen, wie es ausschauen würde, wenn es keinen oder nur mehr einen geringen Datenschutz gibt.
